Basically, there are two triangle formations. One between the midfielders (two on top, one on crease) and one between the attack (two at GLE and one at X). These two triangle formations work together in harmony. If one of the two midfielders on the top pass it down to an attackmen, then that midfielder that passed the ball will sprint to crease while yelling the motion word, FISH. When the midfielders hear this motion call, its a fill triangle rotation. The crease mid will sprint out of the crease and go to the top, while the top mid (the one that did not pass the ball) will sprint across the top and fill in where the other mid was at.
While this is happening, the attack that caught the ball is looking to feed the ball to the mid cutting to crease. If that first look isn't there, then the second look is the mid cutting across the top (the mid that is filling in). If the second look isnt there, then the attack will pass it down to X. The X attack will then pass it to the other attackmen (the attack that did not pass the ball). The attack that has the ball will pass it to the midfielder at the top, as he passes the ball, he will yell the motion word, FISH.
When the attack hear this word, they essentially are doing the same motion as the midfielder triangle. The attack that passes the ball is cutting through the crease. This is the initial first, quick look. If no defender follows and lets the attack run free, then the mid w/ ball can pass and the attack will quick stick shot. If the attack is defended, then the second look is the X attack that is coming around to fill in for a hitch dodge and shot.
If neither look is there, then the offense can start the motion over and have the motion run the same direction or switch the direction of the motion.
